Sweetgrass is a type of grass and when burned, it gives off a warm, sweetish scent that reminds many people of vanilla. Sweetgrass fills the room with warm, positive energy full of joy and harmony and is therefore ideal to use after a room has been cleaned.

Sweetgrass is also called the hairs of Mother Earth, but also has names such as sacred grass, buffalo grass and vanilla grass. The effect of sweetgrass is the opposite of, for example, sage. Sage cleanses a space and sweetgrass fills this space with an energy of joy, harmony and softness.
